We are committed to delivering exceptional legal services to our clients and are seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our team.
The firm is in midtown Phoenix on Central Avenue. All inquiries will be held in strict confidence and not shared.
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal with 5-7 years of civil litigation experience to support our attorneys in managing complex cases. Business transactional experience is a plus. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. Salary depends on experience. Benefits and 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case preparation, discovery, and trial support.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategies.
- Manage case files, ensuring accurate organization and timely filing of documents with courts.
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to schedule hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness materials.
- Monitor and track case deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Assist with e-discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of civil litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes, court rules, and e-discovery procedures.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with federal and state court filings.
- Familiarity with Tabs3/PracticeMaster platform.
- Knowledge of local court rules and procedures in Arizona.
